Glocester Firefighter Scholarship

In order to be considered for a scholarship the applicant must:

  1. Be a Ponaganset High School senior.
  2. The applicant's sponsor must have been a member in good standing for at least one year at a Glocester Fire Department and must sign the application personally.
  3. Applicant must possess an acceptance letter from a facility for higher learning.  Educational institutions such as technical/vocational schools are not excluded from this program.
  4. Completed application must be mailed, with a postmark no later than April 30th, to:

  5. The Glocester Firefighter Scholarship Award will only be disbursed to the student after successful completion of one (1) semester. If an applicant selected for this scholarship does not complete one (1) full semester, an alternative applicant may receive the award.
  6. Upon successful completion of the student's first semester at the facility of higher learning, they may claim their scholarship award. In order to do so they must submit a copy of their original award certificate along with their first semester grade report.  The claim must be mailed to the same address as the original application. Requests for disbursements must be received by March 1st or the scholarship will be deemed as forfeited.
