Summer School 2021

Ponaganset High School

 Monday, July 12 - Friday, July 30, 8 AM - 12 PM daily

- Students are to attend in person, PHS Library; masks must be worn as this guidance is still in place per RIDOH.

- The courses will be provided by Edgenuity but District teachers will be instructing/overseeing students. (There will not be any "zooming in" to a class as was done during this past school year.)

- Coursework requires more time than just the 4 hours in the school building each day; students need to work on their own time in addition to the 4 hours each morning.

- Students must attend daily with no more than 2 absences; any more than 2 absences, students cannot complete summer school and may be retained/not receive credit(s).

- PHS Transcripts will reflect the course(s) as a credit recovery; grades earned through Summer School do not count toward the GPA.

- Progress Reports will be provided every two days.

- Grades will be provided to the school counseling offices by August 6, 2021. (Summer School will end on July 30.)

  • In person on Wednesday, June 30, 2021 from 9 AM to 1 PM at PHS.
  • Online using this Summer School Registration Form (Walk-in registrations may take place on July 12, but students will not be able to start their courses until the request is approved and processed through Edgenuity.)

NOTE: Seating is limited. Two sessions may be created to accommodate the number of students registered. If created, these sessions will be less than 4 hours requiring more independent work time.
