Thanks to the generous support of the Foster-Glocester educational community we have a new Library Media Center. The newly renovated Library Media Center is in the heart of our school and is a mix of old and new. Alumni will recognize the chieftain logo from center-court of the original gymnasium facility. It is now a focus point for the media center and is surrounded by computer kiosks.

Students can be found during and after school pursuing information for their classes, their Graduation Exhibitions and their Graduation Portfolio in our Library.  The space also hosts many school and community events.

Values and Beliefs of the Library Media Center

Our mission is to provide a welcoming, stimulating learning environment that will encourage the development of intellectual curiosity, independent thinking, and a love for reading among all students. We will assist students and staff to become effective, discriminating and thoughtful users of information.

Our programs serve the varied needs, abilities and interests of our patrons by providing access to a wide range of materials in multiple formats.

In this era of advancing technology, the library media center shall link patrons with larger library networks, databases and other electronic resources including the Internet. Navigating these resources requires skill and guidance, which our Library Media Specialist will provide.
